The queen-bee's workshop

The activity of the bees is concentrated in the brood combs.
The queen-bee moves on the honeycomb with her worker-bees around her searching for an empty and perfectly clean cell in which to lay her eggs. Hatching larvae are fed on royal jelly the first three days and then with a mixture of honey and pollen. After five days, the larva starts to metamorphose inside the cell, which a worker-bee then closes off with a wax seal.
In the brood comb, the outside cells appear full of multi-coloured pollen and honey, ready to feed the larvae.
